FOR GRADES K-2

AIRPLANES & DRONES

Through a series of activities that support inquiry and hands-on learning, students will develop an understanding of how physical forces enable airplanes and drones to take flight. Students will design and fly paper airplanes, learn coding basics, and practice their precision flight skills as they complete a series of challenges with the drone.

COMputers & a.i.

From facial recognition to autonomous cars, computers and A.I. are everywhere around us. This course focuses on computers, artificial intelligence, and their real-life applications. Students will understand the importance and challenges of image analysis, and they will consolidate their knowledge through machine learning and augmented reality applications.


FOR GRADES 3-8

INTRO TO 3D PRINTING

Beginners gain an understanding of how a 3D printer works and how the process of going from a blank 3D design canvas to a full physical print out makes ideas come to life. Students learn how to build and modify through Tinkercad and use Thingiverse to download items for print or to modify projects created by others.

Intro to DRONES

This course is an exploration in how Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (drones) work and how they function in the real-world. Students have the opportunity to learn how to code in the Tello application to program drone flight and to test their skills in challenges and friendly competitions. 



INTRO TO ROBOTICS

Students develop an understanding of how robots function and why humans use them. Using the mBlockly application, students code and program their own mBot robots. Students apply their skills in a final competition and debate important ethical questions about the use of robots in the modern world.



FOR GRADES 9-12

DESIGN FOR 3D PRINTING
