Inquiry-based courses include Robotics, Drone Technology, 3D Printing, and Computer Vision. Each 15-week lesson sequence includes step-by-step instructional guides for teachers, student materials, assessments, and a Project Based Learning component. Equipment and teacher training is included in all curriculum packages.

FOR GRADES K-2

AIRPLANES AND DRONES

Students develop an understanding of how physical forces enable airplanes and drones to take flight. Students design and fly paper airplanes, learn coding basics, and practice their precision flight skills as they complete a series of challenges with the drone.

COMPUTER VISION

From facial recognition to self-driving cars, students discover the many ways in which computers can understand images. Students consolidate their learning through mobile apps, handcrafted activities, and simulation games.


FOR GRADES 3-8

INTRO TO 3D PRINTING

Beginners gain an understanding of how a 3D printer works and how the process of going from a blank 3D design canvas to a full physical print out makes ideas come to life. Students learn how to build and modify through Tinkercad and use Thingiverse to download items for print or to modify projects created by others.

Intro to DRONES

This course is an exploration in how Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (drones) work and how they function in the real-world. Students have the opportunity to learn how to code in the Tello application to program drone flight and to test their skills in challenges and friendly competitions. 



INTRO TO ROBOTICS

Students develop an understanding of how robots function and the purposes for which they are used and learn how to code in the mBlockly application to program their own mBot robots. Students apply their skills in a final competition and debate important ethical questions around the use of robots in the modern world.
