Participants will build foundational knowledge of how drones can help students to deepen their understanding of STEM and the world around them.

  • Orientation to the Tello Quadcopter Drone and the TelloEdu application

  • Training on pedagogical strategies for using drones in the classroom to build 21st Century skills

  • Suggestions for making drones relevant across a variety of curricular areas

  • Supported, collaborative planning session in which teachers work together to develop practical plans to implement learning with drones in their schools

INTRODUCING ROBOTS IN STEM LEARNING

Participants will build foundational knowledge of how robotics can help students to deepen their understanding of STEM and the world around them.

  • Orientation to the mBot robot and mBlockly software

  • Training on pedagogical strategies for using robots in the classroom to build 21st Century skills

  • Suggestions for making robotics relevant across a variety of curricular areas

  • Supported, collaborative planning session in which teachers work together to develop practical plans to implement learning with robots in their schools

INTRODUCING 3D PRINTERS IN STEM LEARNING

Participants will build foundational knowledge of how 3D printers can help students to deepen their understanding of STEM and the world around them.

  • Orientation to 3D printers and the corresponding software

  • Training on pedagogical strategies for using 3D printers in the classroom to build 21st century skills

  • Suggestions for making 3D printers relevant across a variety of curricular areas

  • Supported, collaborative planning session in which teachers work together to develop practical plans to implement learning with 3D printers in their schools
