A great deal of the work that goes into making the internet a safe place happens behind the scenes. Ever wonder what is keeping your online bank account safe? The answer is Cybersecurity.

Cybersecurity is the protection of servers, data, and computers from unwanted attacks or attempts at access. Similar to how your home has locks or gates to prevent unwanted access; Cybersecurity prevents unwanted access to your online life. You likely have some experience with Cybersecurity with the use of passwords (Or Pass Keys) for online accounts. Those security measures are put in place to ensure only you have access to your important information.

Creation & Evaluation of Cybersecurity: Global Impact

In this course, students will develop and evaluate concepts of cybersecurity that are applicable to every person who accesses the internet around the world. Students will analyze the ethical ramifications of sharing their data through digital networks globally while exploring foundational mathematical concepts and computer science principles in cryptography.
