Award-winning Curriculum I Online Software Apps I Professional Development

Drone operation has quickly become a vital technology in modern research and continues to make new discoveries every day. By introducing students to these systems early, they can learn how drones are essential for our future by sparking this curiosity to learn more. Our courses are designated to teach students how these machines are able to fly, how to operate their systems, and how they can apply them to real-world purposes.

Subject Topics Covered: Physical Science, Life Science, Earth Science, Engineering, Math Connection, Technology

Grades K-2: Early Learners

Introduction to Drones: Take flight!

In this introduction course, students learn the fundamentals of how animals fly before applying them to drones. They can name what animal parts allow them to fly and how they use these structures to move. They understand the basics of flight, how drones are able to elevate and safely handle them using the Scoot Drone.

Grades 3-5

Discovery of Drones: Unmanned Aviation

In this course, students continue learning what a drone is, its functions, and how it flies. They start following sequential instructions and become introducing to coding flight patterns using online applications.

Grades 6-8

Exploration of Drones: Coding With Tello

Students explore how drones function within our society. They begin to learn the laws governed for drone operation and why they are in place. They continue following sequential flight patterns and are challenged within constricts of each simulation.

Grades 9-12

Creation‌ ‌and‌ ‌Evaluation‌ ‌of‌ ‌Drones:‌ ‌Coding‌ ‌with‌ ‌Tello‌ ‌

Using the Droneblocks app, students push their knowledge of drone operation and continue integrating their skills to solve real-world problems. They understand the components of block coding and safely apply them to their flight patterns. They study the physics of how drones are able to move in 3-dimensional spaces and understand how engineering and technology can be used to solve world problems.
