Lift-off for STEM Learning in 2023

It’s a brand new year, which means Districts and Schools have an opportunity to set their sights higher than ever, especially in STEM education.

If Districts and Schools are looking to improve their learners' grades in STEM, ace their standards in exams or tests, have learners master concepts in math and sciences, or get into the STEM programs then now is the time to lift-off in STEM learning.

One of the main aspects that many Districts & Schools will be focusing on in 2023 is Diversity. Lifting off in 2023 for diversity will be broken down into the following points:

  • Develop strategies to embed diversity and inclusivity into STEM education, recruitment, retention and career progression

  • Understand science engagement and equity in the US in order to target engagement activities and identify areas of potential

  • Improve science education in primary and secondary schools to boost the federal government’s leveling up agenda

  • Hear the latest updates from policymakers on how education research and innovation are set to play a pivotal role in economic recovery after the pandemic

  • Explore how district funding has the potential to tackle regional inequalities and support leveling up agenda across the country

  • Examine the working environment and culture for researchers and how it can be improved to attract and retain staff, drive a research-led recovery and build a reputation as a global leader in research.

The exposure that STEM education provides eventually contributes to the development of independent-thinking learners and competent workers. Institutions are improving and refining STEM curricula to help students overcome obstacles they may face and create career success tales that will inspire more people to pursue STEM degrees.
