STEM Programs For Community Schools

NextWaveSTEM presents the webinar "STEM Programs for Community Schools" on February 5th, 2026, at 1:00 PM CST. This session targets principals and district leaders who seek to strengthen community schools with technology-focused curricula.

Led by Hope Thompson, an experienced education specialist, the webinar explores over 35 hands-on programs for after-school, out-of-school time, and summer initiatives in K-12 settings. Topics include AI literacy, drone piloting, 3D printing, and renewable energy. Each program follows Common Core, NGSS, CSTA, and ISTE guidelines. Teachers receive lesson plans, kits, and professional development to implement these easily. All programs include a dual language differential with support in English and Spanish.

Attendees will learn how these solutions increase student interest in STEAM and CTE fields through community-based learning. The event lasts 45 minutes and includes a Q&A. Schools across more than 500 districts already use these resources to prepare students for future careers.
