WEBINAR -

Oklahoma-Aligned STEM Programs

This webinar gives Oklahoma educators a detailed view of how modern technologies can strengthen STEAM and CTE instruction in a real and practical way. The session explains how drones, flight simulators, robotics kits, coding platforms, AI literacy tools, game design software, cybersecurity foundations and 3D creation tools can help students learn by doing instead of only observing. These tools give students direct experiences with skills that are linked to fast growing industries in Oklahoma and across the country.

The webinar shows how each technology connects to Oklahoma Academic Standards, statewide CTE frameworks, Perkins V expectations and federal STEM priorities. Leaders will see how a lesson with drones can support physics concepts, how coding builds logical thinking, how cybersecurity introduces digital safety, how robotics supports engineering design and how 3D tools help students move from idea to prototype. Each example is concrete and easy to understand, making it clear how these activities can fit inside a real classroom schedule.

Attendees will also learn how these technologies help students develop engineering habits of mind, digital fluency, teamwork, resilience, problem solving and early career exploration. The session explains how these experiences give students confidence to try new ideas and understand how academic content connects to real careers in fields like aviation, advanced manufacturing, energy, agriculture, cybersecurity and software development.

The webinar highlights how NextWaveSTEM courses make it easy for teachers to bring these tools into the classroom with ready to teach lessons, step by step guides, simple equipment and built in support. Everything is designed so teachers can start quickly, even without previous experience in STEAM or CTE.
