Program Operations Specialist- Chicago

NextWaveSTEM provides instructors, curriculum, and hands-on learning tools that enable K12 districts to implement drones, robotics, 3D printing, and STEM programs both in school and after school. With nearly 100,000 students and teachers already using our solutions, NextWaveSTEM is poised for growth and is looking for an Operations Specialist to join our team.

We are looking for exceptional candidates passionate about program management and educational technology to support our institutional partnerships in the K12 market. The Program Manager’s primary focus will be working with assigned K12 schools and districts to deploy and support our We Teach programs focused on emerging technology education. The Operations Specialist will develop proactive, highly effective relationships with our partner institutions and deliver outstanding service that guarantees student engagement and customer satisfaction, and retention.

  • Coordinate recruiting, staffing, scheduling, training, and evaluation of instructors who are working at our partner organizations.

  • Deliver exceptional customer support and project management through all phases of our partnerships including new customer implementations, staffing, training, proactive outreach with institutional contacts and leaders, problem/conflict resolution, and ongoing account management.

  • Lead a team of instructors to help achieve their goals and metrics

  • Coordinate materials fulfillment and maintain equipment inventory.

  • Cultivate and maintain consistent relationships with program contacts and other key stakeholders.

  • Ensure timely and knowledgeable responses to ongoing customer inquiries.

  • Ability to become a subject matter expert and facilitate programs as needed.

  • Collaborate across departments to maximize the impact 

  • Community outreach to increase program recognition

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree and 3-5+ years of experience in Customer Success, Client Services, Account Management, Program Management, Program Manager, or K12 education.

  • K12 teaching experience preferred.

  • Implementation and project management experience is a plus.

  • Ability to independently manage and develop ongoing customer relationships.

  • Excellent communication skills, including strong written, verbal, and presentation skills.

  • A creative and collaborative thinker who can learn new things, assess problems and identify proactive solutions quickly.

  • Computer and technology proficiency including Microsoft Office, Google Workspace, Hubspot CRM, Sling scheduling tool, and others 

  • Experience working in STEM education is a plus.

  • Preference will be given to applicants with prior experience in working in K-12
