Dallas ISD Grant Information

Dallas school leaders want state legislators to funnel more money to protect students, not to pay for school voucher proposals. Texas schools currently get a roughly $10 per-student allotment for safety needs. Dallas ISD also wants that bumped up to at least $200. Currently, the state sends money to districts based, in part, on how many kids show up to school each day. Some districts hope to see the formula modified to base funding on total enrollment. In addition, all Dallas ISD educators are eligible to apply for funding up to $2,500 for innovative teaching projects for all grade levels and subjects.
