In 1935, Reginald Denny known as “The Prince of Drones” succeeded in creating the first ever civilian drone.

The Axis Vidius is the world’s smallest quadcopter with a camera, measuring less than 1.5 inches. also weighs less than 0.55 pounds.

3. Can drones deliver medicine to remote places in the world?

Current drones have advanced technology that they are helping health organizations transport medical supplies to various remote places. They are currently being used to carry HIV treatments into Africa. 

4. Do you know how many drones are in the world at this moment?

Statista reports that in 2020, the total number of drone shipments worldwide amounts to 5 million units. In the United States alone, there are more than 850,000 drones registered to the FAA (Federal Aviation Administration). 321,000 of them are registered as commercial drones, while more than 529,000 units are recognized as recreational drones.

5. What is the Guinness World Record for drones?

In 2021, luxury automotive brand GENESIS broke the Guinness World Records title for “the most UAVs airborne simultaneously.” In total, there were 3,281 drones airborne at the same time.
