NextWaveSTEM Partners with Project Syncere Providing Innovative Engineering Experiences

Partnership Hopes to Increase Students' Interest and Understanding of STEM

Chicago, IL, February 17, 2021 For Immediate Release - NextWaveSTEM, a TechEd company providing K-12 STEM curricula, equipment and training, announces partnership with Project SYNCERE (Supporting Youth’s Needs with Core Engineering Research Experiments) a non-profit in Chicago serving students historically under-represented in STEM. Their goal is to show students that STEM careers can be fun, creative and rewarding. 

Both companies were drawn to each other by their similar missions: to prepare the minds and create pathways for underrepresented and disadvantaged students to pursue careers in STEM. Project SYNCERE plans to use NextWaveSTEM's award-winning, hands-on curriculum and instructor training in 3D design and 3D printing to provide more innovative engineering experiences to increase students' interest and understanding of STEM.

NextWave STEM offers discounted STEM Pilot Programs through their own Equity in Education grant. They also provide resources for schools to apply for supplemental grant funding. Corporations who believe that equity in education is important are encouraged to donate.

NextWave STEM strives to level the playing field for:

- the inadequate opportunities for younger generations to be exposed to STEM programs, 

- the shortage of human capital in STEM-related jobs, and

- the lack of STEM resources for the professional development of teachers.
