Wow That's Cool - The Largest Road Made up of Solar Panels!

China’s solar highway is a project located in Jinan, Shandong province and it is proof of how renewable energy holds a vast potential for the future of the earth's sustainability! 

The modules are spread throughout a one-kilometer area.

The design helps the road harvest solar energy, a solution that was unimaginable a few years prior. 

This solar highway can generate up to 1GWh in a year, which is enough energy to power about 750,000 homes. Cool!

It can also provide power to electrical equipment on the highway, such as street lights and cameras. 

Even though this sounds like huge progress, there is still plenty of work needing to get done to help the world and its communities become cleaner and more sustainable.
